DMARC Report Analyzer
Upload a DMARC aggregate report exactly as it arrives at your rua address by email (ZIP or .xml.gz), or simply paste the source of the report email. The analysis shows which servers sent on behalf of your domain and whether SPF, DKIM, and DMARC passed. Nothing leaves your browser.
or
The file and the pasted text are decompressed and analyzed exclusively in your browser. They are not transmitted to the server and are stored neither there nor in your browser - they are gone once you discard the analysis, reload, or close the page. Only DMARC aggregate reports as defined in RFC 7489 are read: a ZIP containing exactly one XML file, or a gzip-compressed XML file, uploaded directly or as the only archive attached to the report email. Forensic reports (ruf) and other content are rejected.
How to read a DMARC report
Aggregate report (rua)
Receivers such as Google, Microsoft, or Yahoo send a daily summary to the address in the rua tag of your DMARC record. It contains no message content, only which IP sent how many messages with your domain in From and how SPF, DKIM, and DMARC turned out.
Result vs. alignment
The report separates two things: the raw check result (the small lines in the table) and the DMARC result. For DMARC, SPF or DKIM must not only pass but also match the domain in the visible From. A valid signature from mailprovider.example does nothing for your domain.
Handling (disposition)
Shows what the receiver did with the messages: none (delivered), quarantine (spam folder), or reject (refused). If that differs from your policy, the report states the reason, such as forwarded for a forwarded message or local_policy for a receiver-side rule.
Classifying source IPs
Each row is a server that sent on behalf of your domain. If your own mail servers and sending services pass, everything is fine. Failures from known services mean missing alignment; failures from unknown IPs are usually spoofing - exactly what DMARC is meant to stop.
